Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. 1 Awarded Grant to Upgrade Equipment, Says Mackenzie

HARRISBURG – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) is pleased to announce Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. 1 will receive $89,890 in Local Share Account (LSA) grant funding. The grant will support the purchase and installation of critical fire equipment to benefit residents of the 131st Legislative District.

“I’m proud to support funding for the Upper Milford Township Volunteer Fire Company, which plays a vital role in protecting our community,” Mackenzie said. “This investment will ensure our first responders have the up-to-date equipment they need to continue providing safe and effective emergency services.”

The funding will be used to purchase hoses, nozzles and connections to outfit the company’s new fire truck. This project will help the department replace aging apparatus and enhance its ability to provide reliable and effective fire safety services to the community.

The Local Share Account program, funded by gaming revenue and administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, provides grants to support community improvement projects across Pennsylvania.
