May 21, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) is pleased to announce $443,415 in Local Share Account (LSA) funding for infrastructure, public safety, and recreation projects for the 131st District across Lehigh and Northampton counties.
“These investments will directly strengthen local public safety services, improve community facilities, and ensure municipalities have the tools they need to serve residents effectively,” Mackenzie said.
Funding includes projects in Lehigh and Northampton counties as follows:
Lehigh County
• Coopersburg Borough will receive $19,882 for the purchase and upfitting of a police vehicle for the Coopersburg Borough Police Department. The borough plans to replace an aging police vehicle and equip the new unit with mobile data terminals, radios, in-car video, and emergency equipment to support patrol operations and improve emergency response.
• Lower Milford Township will receive $25,224 for renovations to Limeport Stadium. The project includes installation of a customized baseball safety net system to provide full patron protection along the grandstand complex at the historic facility, which hosts more than 120 games per season.
• Upper Milford Township will receive $12,720 on behalf of Citizens Fire Company for new fire truck equipment. The funding will support the purchase and installation of nozzles and connections to improve fire protection services within the Upper Milford Western Fire District.
Northampton County
• Lower Saucon Township will receive $385,589 for the construction and modernization of its Public Works Garage. The project includes a second-floor addition and facility upgrades to address overcrowding, outdated infrastructure, and limited staff space, adding more than 3,000 square feet of new and repurposed space for operations, offices, storage, and restrooms.
The Local Share Account (LSA) grant program is administered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and provides funding for projects that enhance public safety, improve infrastructure, and strengthen community assets. The program uses gaming revenue to support critical local needs in municipalities that host or are next to counties in which casinos are located.
