Mackenzie Announces More Than $2 Million in LSA Funding for 131st District Projects

HARRISBURG – Rep. Milou Mackenzie (R-Lehigh/Montgomery/Northampton) today announced more than $2 million in Local Share Account (LSA) funding has been awarded to support eight projects in the 131st Legislative District.

The funding will support a range of local priorities, including public safety equipment, emergency communications, municipal vehicles, infrastructure improvements and fire protection facilities.

“I am pleased to see this funding directed toward projects that will make a meaningful difference in our communities,” said Mackenzie. “These investments will help our municipalities maintain essential services, strengthen public safety and address important infrastructure needs. I appreciate the work of our local officials and organizations to identify these priorities and secure the resources needed to move them forward.”

The projects receiving funding include:

Montgomery County
• East Greenville Borough: $68,577 for a police vehicle replacement.
• Marlborough Township: $63,191 for a police vehicle and equipment.
• Marlborough Township: $308,815 for a new dump truck.
• Pennsburg Borough: $25,996 for police department equipment.
• Upper Montgomery Joint Authority: $298,530 for manhole rehabilitation in East Greenville, Pennsburg and Red Hill boroughs.

Northampton County
• Lower Saucon Township: $100,000 for radio equipment and software upgrades.

Lehigh County
• Salisbury Township: $147,522 for a flood warning system.
• Upper Milford Township: $1 million for the Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. No. 1 fire house addition.

The eight projects represent a combined $2,012,631 in LSA funding.

LSA grants are funded through gaming revenues and support economic development, public infrastructure, community improvement and other projects that benefit communities throughout Pennsylvania.
